🚀 Pilot run update and current status including some dates!

Hello Backers,
📅 Pilot Run Update The pilot run has started but hasn’t finished yet. We encountered a couple of minor issues, such as a mold ejector pin breaking while making the initial 200 pieces. Despite this, we successfully produced all the parts necessary for assembly and are well into fixing these minor issues.
🎉 Exciting Progress The great news is that we have an official timeline for completing the manufacturing process for this 200 piece right-hand mouse build. We are starting the assembly on July 8th, and it should be complete by July 11th.
🌏 Quality Checks and Testing These 200 pieces will be evaluated overseas immediately. Some units will be sent to my team for critical evaluation. Additionally, some units will undergo destructive and non-destructive testing at an independent lab. This is to ensure our product meets the required standards from various agencies.
🔍 Next Steps Assuming there are no major issues with the pilot build, we anticipate knowing if we can approve these units for mass production by mid-July. Expect a mid-July update in which we will let everyone know how the pilot run went. Once approved, we will immediately initiate the larger production build which we hope will be complete less than a month from the approval date. We will also start the mold fabrication process for the left-hand mouse.
Thank you for your continued support and patience!
Best regards, -Branden
Right-Hand Clear to Build Milestone Achieved!

Great news! All parts have been approved, and we now have the green light to start a 200-piece build! This build will be completed in about two and a half weeks. Once we've evaluated the parts, we'll initiate a 2000+ piece right-hand mouse build. This production run will be enough to fulfill orders and stock our website to begin sales. The larger build should be completed about three weeks after the pilot run is approved.
✈️ To ensure everything goes smoothly, I’ll be traveling to China with a couple of my manufacturing partners to oversee the larger build.
Before we start any shipping, we'll send out e-mails that will have you approve the address we have on file and give you an opportunity to update, if necessary. The update e-mails will most likely either come from Easy Ship or Backerkit. We'll keep you updated on more shipping information as we get closer.
🔧 On another exciting note, our tool builder is ready to start on the left-hand molds as soon as the 200-piece right-hand run is complete. We've already gone through a design check with the manufacturer for the left-hand tools and are approved to start building those molds, assuming nothing goes wrong with the right-hand pilot run. The left-hand units should ship 2.5-3 months after the right-hand pilot run is approved.
📅 I'll provide another update when the 200-piece pilot run is completed since it's another important milestone.
🙏 Thank you again so much for your support!

🚀 Kickstarter Update: Exciting Progress and Next Steps! 🚀

Greetings, backers!
We're zooming in with a quick but crucial update on our journey toward bringing our product to life. As we've previously mentioned, we're now down to just one final issue to tackle, and we're charging ahead with confidence.
👍 Thumb Button Milestone Achieved: This week marked a major milestone as the mold for our thumb buttons was successfully completed! Our partners at the factory have shared some exciting videos and test results, and we're thrilled to report that the parts are looking top-notch. The next steps involve painting and laser etching these buttons. While we were tempted to request unpainted parts for testing, we've decided to go all-in and test them in their final, fully finished form for the utmost accuracy and reliability.
🎨 Painting Process Underway: Our team is currently in the process of painting the buttons, and we're expecting them to be shipped out early next week. With any luck, we should have these new parts in our hands by the end of next week (May 17th) or possibly early the following week.
⏳ Next Steps and Detailed Schedule: Once the parts arrive, we'll waste no time in putting them through rigorous testing. Within 24 hours of receiving them, we'll be able to give the green light or address any concerns that may arise. Rest assured, we'll post another update when this happens since it's such an important milestone.
📅 Looking Ahead: In addition to the update on the thumb buttons, we're also pressing our partners for a detailed schedule on the assembly of the right-hand units. Plus, we're eager to get insights from into the fabrication timeline, and the subsequent manufacturing run of the left-hand units.
Stay tuned for our next update, as we await confirmation to kick off the right-hand unit production!
Your unwavering support means the world to us and we can't express how much we appreciate your patience with us.
Warm regards,

🚀 Project Update: Progress and Challenges 🚀

Hello Backers,
We're reaching out with a pivotal update on our project's journey. Your unwavering support and patience have been our guiding lights as we navigate through obstacles, and we're grateful for every ounce of it.
👍 Thumb Button Update: Our journey with the thumb button has been a rollercoaster of revisions and discussions. Now, after a series of back-and-forths, we've landed on a new design (Revision G) based on valuable feedback from the tool maker and factory. Though it necessitates a new mold, we're confident it's the solution we've been seeking. The mold is currently in production and expected to be ready in approximately 24 days.
✨ Exciting Developments: Despite the setback, there's a silver lining. We've successfully 3D printed test parts based on the new design, and they've exceeded our expectations. This gives us the green light to proceed with a 200-piece build as soon as the mold is ready. Moreover, we've already ordered all materials for the larger production runs so they will follow the 200-piece build, provided we don't find anything major in the 200-pieces pilot build. Also we've started preparations for the left-hand mold making process which is set to begin immediately after the 200-piece right-hand build is accepted.
🎉 Base Pad Issue Resolved: We're thrilled to announce that the base pad issue has been successfully resolved! Thanks to our team's dedication and your unwavering support, we've overcome this hurdle and can now move forward without impediments.
👉 Next Steps: With one hurdle cleared and the thumb button solution well on its way, we're gearing up for a leap forward. Once the new thumb button mold is in our hands, we'll waste no time initiating the 200-piece build. Simultaneously, preparations for larger production runs and the left-hand mold will continue unabated.
🙏 Gratitude: Your belief in our project and your understanding during these trials mean everything to us. Your support fuels our determination to surmount any obstacle and deliver a product that exceeds expectations.
Stay tuned for further updates as we press on toward realizing our vision. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for being an integral part of this incredible journey!
Warm regards,

March Manufacturing Update: On the Brink of Shipping!

Hey there, awesome backers!
I know it's been a little longer than usual since our last update, but I've been holding off to bring you the most comprehensive news possible. With Chinese New Year in the mix, a two-week-ago update would've been pretty light on content.
We're on the brink of a major milestone: getting these units out the door! I've been pushing the factory hard to aim for shipping right-hand units by the end of this month, and they're giving me every indication that it's achievable. Our electronics are solid, software and firmware are in great shape (with some bonus features still in the works), and our parts are looking fantastic, aside from a couple of pesky manufacturing issues.
First, the base pad warping issue. After some intensive work, the factory is close enough to a solution that they don’t feel it’s holding up production.
Now, onto the thumb button snag. We initially went with a design using adhesives to attach the thumb button caps to the part that presses the circuit board buttons. Despite making changes, the issue resurfaced during our last pilot run. So, we're switching gears and reverting to a backup plan: overmolding. This process involves molding one or more parts and then putting those parts into a new, different mold to inject a different material that fuses together with the old part. It's a solid solution to ensure button consistency.
In the past month, we've also made some exciting progress. The addition of two hall effect sensors has significantly improved our product's location sensing.
Additionally, those pesky parts that ended up stuck in customs? We successfully appealed the seizure, thanks to an excellent law firm we enlisted to fight our case. They used their legal expertise to navigate the situation and get the parts released back to us.
Thank you endlessly for your patience and unwavering support. We're almost there, and it's all thanks to you!
