Most Parts ordered + Microcontroller change (upgrade)

Hello Backers! We wanted to give you a short update on how this project is progressing.
90% of the parts are on hand or on order including all of the parts that are going to take a significant amount of time to come in (long lead-time parts) are on order. There are only a few parts that we are actively negotiating pricing on but they are short lead-time parts.
Along with these parts ordered, we made a decision to change and upgrade the microcontroller in this design. The previous micro was good but the lead-time was listed at 52 weeks. This new micro is better than the old one and we were able to get our hands on 950 of them immediately. We have placed the other half on order with a 22 week lead time. The disadvantage of changing the controller is that there is a good amount of firmware and electrical work we need to do over but the advantage is that this may give us a good opportunity to attempt to beat the previously stated October 2023 delivery date by a couple of months (give or take). We'll keep you up to date on this progress. There is a lot that needs to happen from now until delivery but we are doing everything we can to ensure these units deliver on time (or better!!!).

Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts. A reminder to update information will be sent out closer to the ship date in case of any address updates or changes. This is also when shipping will be collected.

As some of you have seen, I sent 10 slide-control prototypes out to various influencers interested in this project and they started arriving at their doorsteps on Monday. Check them out and show them some support :)
